Simple rules for fair fishing.

These rules protect the water, the fish and the enjoyment of every angler. Members are responsible for knowing them before fishing.

    The trout season runs from 15 March until 30 September.

    All trout under ten inches must be returned to the water unharmed.

  3. 3

    Members must show their fish and membership cards when requested.

  4. 4

    Only Water Watchers may bring dogs to the river.

  5. 5

    Do not fish or remain within ten yards of another angler unless both agree.

  6. 6

    No fires or digging of riverbanks.

  7. 7

    It is illegal to sell fish.

  8. 8

    The limit is three fish of the same species in any one day.

  9. 9

    No natural shrimp or prawn.

  10. 10

    No ground baiting, bubble float with flies, or swim feeders.

  11. 11

    Fly fishing takes preference over spinning at all times on the water.

  12. 12

    Conduct that brings the club into disrepute may result in expulsion.

Members must follow any additional instructions issued by the committee or shown on their current permit.
