Our story
A well-established local club.
Castle Angling Club was established in 1909 and controls fishing on both banks of the Black Cart Water. The club offers more than six miles of varied fishing for native brown trout, coarse species, sea trout and salmon.
Natural stocking, practical river work and a strong membership help keep the Black Cart an enjoyable and accessible place to fish.
Part of the local community
Our membership includes junior, adult and honorary members. We welcome experienced anglers and people discovering the sport for the first time.
